I was contacted yesterday by one of my favorite designers (no lol not me :P). I had contacted her before I started making clothes, asking for a chance to model for her. Well, she contacted me today.
She informed me that her new outfits were very 70's disco style. So I already had this in mind when I chose my hair and makeup and my arriving outfit (my own Snakeskin Spirit lol and a long flexi style hair that's half phony, half down and partially covering the face).
So I went. She was hoping we'd have time to do at least one of the 4 outfits she had just completed. She was tired and wanted to spend time with her guy and I had to go out lol.
Anyway, I arrive, she was very sweet and welcoming. After some light banter and comments of "ooo's and aahhh's" over my AO's poses, she said she was so god awful tired of her poses and was wondering if I had any of my own. Well, luck had it (well, luck or cuz I read up on some things, who knows), I had quite a few that I had purchased for just such an occaision.
She was amazed with them, was so grateful ... she told me, "just keep flipping through them and I'll just snap away." During the shoot a friend of hers showed up and they together were marvelling at my preparedness, my skin, my AO, my poses and my professionalism. I was quick to change, always confirmed with her that I had her styles on correctly and would make sure she had rezzed before I did anything.
Before we knew it, we were done all 4 outfits ... each having 2 versions ... and only about 20-30 minutes had passed. Her friend had made a comment to her that I cannot remember now, but she replied to him, "well, this is how it is when you work with a professional."
Here is one of the many pics she gave me from the shoot. Please feel free to contact her to ask her about me if you want :D.I hope you found this story enjoyable, inspirational and most importantly, helpful!!
Hugs,
DaeDae
